Professionalization of musculoskeletal ultrasound: research translated into clinical practice.
The use of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSU) is growing rapidly in various healthcare professions to help in the process of diagnosis, treatment and evaluation. This growth is, amongst other reasons, the result of technological developments that makes MSU of better quality more affordable and easier to use.
The pursue for evidence based practice, making decisions and clinical findings measurable, also pushes healthcare professionals in the direction of MSU. Some research shows that MSU is not profession dependent, but user dependent. To improve the users quality the ICMSU wishes to communicate the latest evidence in MSU. It also wants to inspire the attendants by showing the wonders of anatomy, and it also wants to discuss together about how to professionalize MSU and to make it even better.
This day will give the ICMSU attendants the opportunity to see great speakers, each of them at the top level in their own field. At the end of the day the ICMSU attendants will have gathered lot’s of practical take home messages, which can immediately be used to improve clinical practice and patient care.
